- Focus on Fundamentals of Football: offensive and defensive rules and tactics, scoring, and much more!

- Location: Lakeshore Park
- Register as a team or sign up as an individual.
Practices
- Each team will practice once during the week at Lakeshore Park with the option to practice on Sundays prior to their scheduled game.
Games
- Games will be held at Lakeshore Park on Sunday afternoons.
- KYS will hold a season-ending tournament for all leagues.

- Registration starts Monday, June 24, 2024
- Registration ends Friday, August 9, 2024

- NO GAMES ON THE FIRST SUNDAY (October 6th) OF FALL BREAK FOR KNOX COUNTY SCHOOLS!
- Last regular season game will be Sunday, November 3, 2024.
- Tournament will be the week of November 4th
Age Groups
Players will be grouped and compete in the following division of groups according to their current grade:
- Kindergarten to 1st Grade
- 2nd Grade to 3rd Grade
- 4th Grade to 5th Grade
Team Selection
- Coaches will draft kids to form their teams.
- Coaches can bring a group of kids into the league as a team. (Note: Any team(s) that register with less than 10 kids will have individual registrants added to their team(s) to fill a full roster.)
- MAX ROSTER IS 10 KIDS PER TEAM.
- Boys and girls will play in divisions with children in the appropriate grade levels.
- Coach and teammate requests - we will try to accommodate but it is not a guarantee.

What can we expect regarding practice and game schedules in football?
Practices will be held during the week at Lakeshore Park with an option of practicing before the game on Sundays.
Who will be the coaches and how do you become a coach?
We encourage parents to participate as coaches as we promote a fun-filled family atmosphere in developing proper sportsmanship. To become a Coach please select the appropriate box on the registration form. Every coach (Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches) must have a current background check. Can my child "play up" in a flag football?
Children are welcome to "play up" at their parents' discretion.
How do I form or register a team?
Each team consists of 10 players. If you do not have a full roster, KYS can add player(s). Have each of your players request either you as a Coach or Friend on their registration.
What does my child need to wear for games?
- Every player must wear a mouthguard (KYS will provide).
- Game Shirts are provided to the players.
- ALL shorts worn for competition must have NO pockets!
What type of football will be used?
- Kindergarten - 3rd Grade will use a Pee-Wee football.
- 4th - 5th Grade will use Junior football.
Can my child play in a younger division? Example: A 3rd Grader playing in the 1st-2nd Grade Division.
No. A player can never “play down” a division, but they can “play up” a division at the discretion of the parent. For the safety of children, teams are organized by age/grade.
Is KYS Flag Football only for boys?
No. KYS Flag Football is a Co-ed sport. We welcome girls to come out and play.
